Long Row

Long Row was built by the Strutts between 1792 - 1797 and was one of the first of several high quality terraces with houses built for the workers at the Strutt Family Mills. Long Row terrace houses are all of the Georgian period and Long Row still is stone paved as original.

In 1840 the North Midland Railway demolished 15 houses in Long Row to make way for the nearby train line.
